Itinerary
Day 1: Amman airport – Petra
Arrival to Queen Alia International Airport Amman. Visa upon arrival. Direct transfer to the camp in little Petra, Dinner and overnight in the camp.
Day 2: Visit Petra city – camp in Little Petra
Breakfast in the camp. Proceed to the site of Petra from the back road (the Monastery); visit Qasr Al-Bint, Al-Habis and the Byzantine Church. Lunch in the Nabatean Tent restaurant.
Return to the camp from Al-Ma’asra, dinner and overnight.

Day 3: 2nd visit of Petra
Breakfast in the camp, Guided full day entering Petra from the main gate and visiting the Treasury, Al Wajhat Street, and KhabathaMount.Transfer to Um Sayhoun village where we will have our traditional lunch with a local Bedouin family.
Back to Wadi Mousa, to visit the ‘Sela for Training and Protection of Heritage’ company. This organization is dedicated to the restoration and preservation of cultural heritage projects. They work on site and we will visit them either in the Temple of the Winged Lions or at Ateb. You will learn about their preservation efforts and test out your conservation skills by participating in one of their restoration activities. We will also support them by making a donation on your behalf to the company (included).
After our visit to Sela, we return to the camp in Little Petra where we will have our dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Petra (Mount Haroun visit)
Breakfast in the camp, then proceed to the site, visit the snake monument then Mount Haroun.
Lunch and dinner will be served by our cook who will accompany us during this day.
Settle in your camp in Al-Harimiya, overnight.

Day 5: Petra – Wadi Rum
Breakfast in the camp, we walk for half an hour to reach our bus to take our transfer to Wadi Rum, where the journey takes an hour. It runs to Rum village and then walks to the camping area.
We will participate in a cleaning day initiative, to clean up an area around our camp in the desert.
Lunch will be prepared in the desert by our cook who accompanies us during the tour.
We will participate in preparing our dinner on the spot and we will invite some local people to enjoy our dinner together for a cultural exchange. Overnight in the camp.

Day 6: Umm Ajl – Quicksand & Lawrence Palace
Breakfast in the camp, start the visit Umm Ajl Mountain on foot, then visit Lawrence Palace and the shifting sands. Lunch and dinner will be prepared in the desert by our cook who accompanies us during the tour.

Day 7: Wadi Rum – Aqaba
Breakfast in the camp. Transfer to Aqaba: It is located on the southern tip of Jordan, and is the only port in Jordan, it is about 4 hours from Amman, the Capital, and about 1 hour from Wadi Rum. It is a beach city with Jordanian appeal.
We will go on a tour around the city. Your guide will recommend you some shops to buy the ingredients you will need for your lunch, after which you will experience the culinary culture of Aqaba by learning to cook traditional food. You can make your own lunch at the ‘Sayadiya experience’ with a local family, as part of a culture exchange experience. Sayadieh is a typical dish from many Middle Eastern countries, made of rice and fish.We will also invite some volunteers of the Jordan River Foundation (JFR) to talk to us about their mission to preserve the natural environment of Jordan (if their time permits).

Day 8: Aqaba
Today, we are going to help clean the beach with the local community. This participation from you as visitors, has great impact in encouraging local residents to continue maintaining cleanliness and showing them that this brings them more customers and thus has a positive impact on stimulating tourism and, as a result, on them. We will have our lunch with the volunteers of the local community and then you will have free time to enjoy the lovely clean beach.

Day 9: Aqaba – Amman
Breakfast at hotel. Transfer to Amman.
On the way back to Amman, we will stop with the local farmers to help them collecting some of their crops. We will take our lunch on the route to Amman today, most likely some pastries or a light lunch that we will buy from a women’s charitable organization.
In the evening: Free time to visit Amman City Center.
Overnight at hotel.

Day 10: Amman – Departure
Breakfast at Hotel, transfer to the Airport for the departure.
